Have you ever opened a kiln?

I started firing glass while still creating jewelry from ceramics. My mother had a ceramic business when I was growing up. I knew how to use molds to pour your object, clean off the edges and fire it. I have really tiny wrists and have always had difficulty wearing jewelry because it's too big. So, I just started experimenting with glass. I took classes primarily in Philadelphia and even bought a kiln. In my opinion, opening the kiln top and seeing your creations is soooo much fun!!
